Day 12 of the 300-mile challenge

 The day I signed up for the American Cancer Society 300-mile challenge, I knew August was going to be a busy month for me.  Specifically this week because there’s so much going on prior to classes beginning.  Today was one of those days for me.  I get home, have a quick bite and felt like I hit the wall.  This is why I’ve been logging so many miles each ride – to compensate on the bad days. One of my personal challenges to myself is to ride every day this month – even for a little bit.  Tonight I squeaked in 10.52 miles, bringing my completion to 69.1% of 300 miles.

I expect tomorrow to be another short ride as well.  Too much going on including my birthday.
